First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a program called Tu'Washindi, designed by and for young women, to help reduce intimate partner violence and increase use of the HIV prevention pill (PrEP). About 1,500 girls and young women aged 15-24 in western Kenya will take part. Half will get the program plus usual HIV services, and half will get usual services alone. Researchers will check if the program leads to more consistent PrEP use and less violence over 12 months.
