Summary
This completed study used advanced MRI scans to look at heart structure and function in 276 adults with chronic kidney disease (stages 3-5). The goal was to identify different types of heart damage linked to kidney failure and dialysis, and to see which patterns lead to worse outcomes. No treatment was tested; the aim was simply to learn more about how kidney disease affects the heart.
