First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a daily pill called troriluzole in 141 adults with spinocerebellar ataxia, a rare brain disease that affects balance and coordination. Participants took either the drug or a placebo for 8 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug improved scores on a standard ataxia rating scale. The trial is complete, and results help understand if troriluzole can ease symptoms of this condition.
