New imaging tracer could spot hidden cancers
NCT ID NCT07671092
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study tests a new imaging agent that targets a protein called TROP2, found on many cancer cells. About 40 adults with metastatic bladder, breast, or lung cancer will receive the agent to see where it goes in the body. The goal is to see if this tracer can help doctors better detect and monitor these cancers.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
RYZ211 (68Ga-RAYZ-2453) and RYZ212 (177Lu-RAYZ-2453) imaging agents
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to better imaging methods to detect and monitor certain metastatic cancers, helping doctors see where the cancer is in the body.
What could go wrong
This is a very early (phase 0) imaging study with only 40 participants. It is not designed to treat cancer, so it may not lead to any direct benefit for patients. The imaging agents involve radiation, which carries some risk.
