Scientists probe why some bodies make more fat
NCT ID NCT05743868
Summary
This study aims to understand how different types of insulin resistance affect the liver's production of triglycerides, a type of fat in the blood. Researchers will compare people with insulin resistance in different body tissues and test if a short bout of exercise before a meal changes how the liver makes this fat. The goal is to gather knowledge about the underlying causes of high triglycerides, not to test a treatment.
