Immune cell test may predict kidney transplant success
NCT ID NCT04414111
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is testing whether measuring a specific type of immune cell (regulatory T cells) before a kidney transplant can predict if the new kidney will start working slowly or with delay. Researchers will follow 180 adult kidney transplant patients to see if these cells can serve as a biomarker for complications. The goal is to better match donated kidneys to recipients and reduce the risk of graft failure.
