First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether tension and trauma releasing exercises (TRE) can improve quality of life and sleep in 40 adults aged 50-65 with stage 1 hypertension. Participants will do supervised TRE sessions for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in sleep quality and well-being, but not blood pressure control directly.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
tension and trauma releasing exercises (TRE)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to improve sleep and daily well-being for people with high blood pressure.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early study with only 40 people. It does not measure long-term effects, and results may not apply to everyone with hypertension.
