Can trauma therapy help those with psychosis? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07242586
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study is testing whether two established trauma therapies—Prolonged Exposure and EMDR—can be safely used in young adults with psychotic disorders who also have PTSD symptoms. Twenty participants from the OPUS early-intervention program will receive one of the therapies alongside their usual care. The goal is not to prove the treatments work, but to see if a larger study is possible.
