Ultrasound could replace colonoscopies for Crohn's patients on new drug

NCT ID NCT07308067

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how quickly risankizumab (Skyrizi) heals deep intestinal damage in people with Crohn's disease. Instead of repeated colonoscopies, researchers use intestinal ultrasound to track healing at 4 and 12 weeks. The goal is to find a simpler, more comfortable way to monitor treatment success. About 109 adults with Crohn's disease who are starting risankizumab will take part.
