Balloon vs. stent: new hope for heart patients?

Summary
This study tests whether a special balloon coated with sirolimus (a drug) works as well as or better than a standard drug-coated stent for opening blocked heart arteries. About 1,820 adults with coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see if the balloon can reduce complications like heart attacks, strokes, or the need for repeat procedures.
