First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive treatment called transcutaneous pulsed radiofrequency to reduce chronic pain from postherpetic neuralgia, a painful nerve condition that can last for years after a shingles rash heals. About 35 adults with this condition will receive the treatment through pads placed on the skin. The goal is to see if it safely eases pain without the need for drugs or injections.
