NCT ID NCT07322484
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two types of training for midwifery students: trauma-informed supportive care and universal continuous supportive care. The goal is to see if these programs improve students' confidence in their clinical skills and reduce their anxiety and secondary traumatic stress. 92 fourth-year students from Mersin University will participate during their delivery room practice.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
training programs (trauma-informed supportive care model training and universal continuous supportive care model training)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that specific training models help midwifery students feel more confident and less stressed, potentially improving care for women in childbirth.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-site study with only 92 participants, so results may not apply broadly. It measures self-reported feelings, not actual clinical outcomes, and the training is brief (4 hours).
