First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether pravastatin, a drug used for cholesterol, can improve swallowing problems caused by past radiation for head and neck cancer. 48 adults who had radiation at least 2 years ago and still have moderate to severe swallowing issues will take pravastatin daily for 12 months. Researchers will check if the treatment is practical, acceptable, and helps reduce swallowing difficulty.
