First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will follow one million adults in China aged 30 to 74 for up to 10 years. Researchers will collect health data and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) body type information to see how they relate to chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. The goal is to develop better ways to prevent and manage these conditions by combining TCM and Western medicine.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could help create personalized health strategies combining Traditional Chinese and Western medicine for early disease detection and prevention.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It will collect data but may not directly lead to new therapies. Results depend on long-term follow-up and accurate reporting.
