First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether providing clean water, toilets, and hygiene training can reduce trachoma infections in rural Ethiopian communities that already receive antibiotic treatments. Over 47,000 people took part. The goal was to see if adding these basic resources makes a difference compared to using antibiotics alone. Results will help decide how to best use limited funds to fight this blinding disease.
