Summary
This study tests whether giving antibiotics more often to entire communities can eliminate trachoma, an eye infection that can cause blindness. Over 300,000 people in Ethiopia are taking part. The goal is to see if this intensive approach works better than the current yearly treatment recommended by the World Health Organization.
