First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested two doses of tranexamic acid, a drug that helps blood clot, to see if it can reduce blood loss in women who experience heavy bleeding (over 800 mL) during a planned or non-emergency cesarean section. A total of 225 women participated, and the drug was given as a single IV infusion. The goal was to find the best dose that safely reduces bleeding without causing side effects.
