First human trial tests new weapon against multiple cancers

NCT ID NCT04344795

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to find a safe and effective dose of a new drug called TPST-1495, given alone or with an existing immunotherapy (pembrolizumab), for people with advanced solid tumors. It enrolled 89 adults with cancers like colorectal, lung, and head and neck cancer who had run out of standard treatment options. The main goal was to understand the drug's safety, how the body processes it, and to see early signs of whether it might help shrink tumors.
