Toy car ride to surgery could calm Kids' fears

NCT ID NCT07403747

Summary

This study is testing if a simple, fun change can help young children feel less scared before and after surgery. Researchers are comparing whether boys aged 3-7 feel less anxious and confused after waking up if they ride a toy car to the operating room instead of being wheeled on a standard hospital stretcher. The goal is to find a non-drug way to make the hospital experience easier for kids having tonsil or adenoid surgery.
