A 5-Minute video before surgery could ease pain and build trust

NCT ID NCT07767344

First seen Aug 17, 2026 · Last updated Aug 17, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether showing patients a short educational video before gallbladder surgery can improve their trust in the doctor, reduce anxiety, and lessen postoperative pain. About 62 adults scheduled for laparoscopic gallbladder removal will either receive standard verbal information or that plus a video explaining the nerve-block procedure used for pain control. Researchers will measure trust, anxiety, pain levels, and painkiller use to see if the video makes a meaningful difference.
