NCT ID NCT01182766
Summary
This study tested whether a medication called topiramate could help people who struggle with both alcohol dependence and smoking. Over 200 participants received either the medication or a placebo, along with counseling, and were followed to see if they could reduce heavy drinking and quit smoking. The goal was to see if this single treatment could effectively address both addictions together.
