Skin gel tested for dark, velvety patches
NCT ID NCT06940895
Summary
This study tested a gel containing the drug sirolimus to see if it is safe and effective for treating acanthosis nigricans, a condition that causes dark, thickened patches of skin. A small group of adults with the condition applied the gel to their skin for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in the darkness and texture of the skin patches to see if the treatment helped.
