First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares two different materials used to fill cavities between teeth: a glass ionomer and a bulk-fill composite resin. Twenty-three adults with at least two cavities received both types of fillings, placed by one dentist. The fillings were checked at several time points over four years to see how well they held up.
