Tongue scraping may freshen breath in gum disease patients

Summary
This study looks at whether adding tongue scraping to standard gum disease treatment can improve bad breath. Researchers will enroll 39 adults with gum disease and bad breath. Participants will receive standard gum cleaning and be taught to scrape their tongue daily. The main goal is to see if breath odor scores and sulfur gas levels improve.
