First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to help people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness quit smoking: nicotine mouth spray or a medication called cytisine, both with counseling. About 200 adults in Ottawa and Toronto who smoke or vape will take part. The goal is to improve their quality of life and reduce tobacco use, which causes early death in this group.
