Magnetic pulses to the brain aim to restore sight in new trial

Summary

This study tests whether transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can improve vision in adults aged 45–70 with severe retinal degeneration. Half of the 136 participants will receive real TMS, and the other half will receive a sham (fake) treatment for five days. Researchers will track changes in eyesight and any side effects over one year.
