Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a new medicine called VP-001, given as an injection into the eye, for people with a rare inherited retinal disease caused by a PRPF31 gene mutation. Six participants received multiple doses to see if the treatment was safe and tolerable. The goal was to check for side effects, not yet to measure vision improvement.
