First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation technique (rTMS) could improve swallowing problems in people with Parkinson's disease. 26 adults with moderate-to-severe Parkinson's and swallowing difficulty were split into two groups receiving different stimulation frequencies. Researchers used camera-based swallowing tests and questionnaires to measure changes in swallowing safety and function.
