Magnetic pulses to the brain may tame OCD symptoms
NCT ID NCT07679750
First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a device that sends magnetic pulses to a specific brain area (dorsomedial prefrontal cortex) can safely reduce obsessive-compulsive behaviors in adults aged 22 and older. Participants receive either real or sham stimulation over six visits. The main goal is to see if symptoms improve after three months, measured by a standard OCD severity scale.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a non-drug, non-invasive option to ease obsessive-compulsive behaviors.
