Zapping the brain to quiet immune pain in psoriatic arthritis

NCT ID NCT07403890

First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can reduce chronic pain in people with psoriatic arthritis who still hurt despite having low joint swelling. Researchers will give 40 adults either real rTMS or a sham version over 4 weeks to see if it changes immune cell signals and provides lasting pain relief.
