Brain zaps to sharpen bipolar minds: new trial launches

Summary
This study tests a noninvasive brain stimulation technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to see if it can improve memory and thinking in people with bipolar disorder. Researchers will enroll 88 adults with stable bipolar disorder and give them either real or fake TMS over 5 days, combined with computer-based cognitive training. The goal is to find a new, safe way to help with the cognitive problems that often come with bipolar disorder.
