First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments for jaw joint pain (TMJ) in 20 adults. One group got Botox injections into a jaw muscle, the other got platelet-rich fibrin (a substance made from their own blood) injected into the joint. Researchers measured pain, jaw movement, and joint sounds over six months to see which worked better.
