First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether adding pain neuroscience education, motor imagery, and action observation to standard treatment (splint, exercises, counseling) helps people with chronic temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Fifty adults with jaw pain for at least 3 months participated. The goal was to see if these mind-body techniques could further reduce pain and disability compared to standard care alone.
