First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a specific gene (TLR9) influences how children react to H. pylori, a bacteria that can cause stomach pain and inflammation. Researchers compared 50 infected children with 50 uninfected ones, all aged 1 to 18. They used endoscopy and genetic testing to see if gene variations are linked to worse symptoms.
