New drug enters human testing, aims to tackle obesity and diabetes

Summary
This is an early-stage study to test the safety and how the body processes a new drug called TLC 6740. It will first be given to healthy volunteers to check for side effects. Later, it will be tested in people with obesity, some of whom also have type 2 diabetes, to see if it might help control weight and blood sugar.
