NCT ID NCT07382024

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether tirzepatide, a drug used for weight loss, can help overweight or obese people with a type of irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation (AFib). About 200 adults will receive either tirzepatide injections plus standard care, or standard care alone, starting before and continuing after a heart procedure called catheter ablation. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces the amount of time the heart is in AFib and helps with weight loss over a year.
