First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether tirzepatide, a diabetes drug, can improve blood sugar and lower triglycerides in people with partial lipodystrophy, a rare condition causing abnormal fat loss. About 32 adults with poor diabetes control and high triglycerides will receive the drug or serve as a control for 24 weeks. The goal is to see if reducing calorie intake through the drug leads to better metabolic health.
