NCT ID NCT06811324
Summary
This study is checking if the weight-loss drug tirzepatide causes older adults to lose too much muscle along with fat, which could lead to weakness. Researchers will give 20 obese adults over age 50 tirzepatide for six months and measure their muscle mass, strength, and walking ability. The goal is to understand the drug's full effects on physical function in an aging population.
