Summary
This study looked at 729 breast cancer patients who had surgery followed by radiation. Researchers checked their thyroid function before and after treatment to see how many developed an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). The goal was to find out which patients are at higher risk and how radiation dose relates to thyroid damage.
