Summary

This study looks at how changing thyroid hormone levels affects the way the body uses sugar and fat for energy. Researchers will study 60 people with Graves' disease (whose thyroid levels are lowered with medication) and thyroid cancer (whose levels are raised with medication). Participants will take a glucose drink test before and after treatment to measure changes in insulin sensitivity and energy use.
