Thyroid cancer surgery debate: to dissect or not to dissect neck nodes?
NCT ID NCT06899347
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at people with papillary thyroid cancer tumors 2 to 4 cm who are having thyroid surgery. Half will also have nearby neck lymph nodes removed, and half will not. The goal is to see if removing these nodes lowers the chance of cancer coming back or persisting, and to compare surgical risks. About 392 adults will take part.
