First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a special radioactive substance called 124-Iodine to see how much radiation each thyroid cancer spot in the body receives. The goal was to help doctors decide the right dose of standard treatment (131-Iodine) and avoid giving unnecessary radiation to patients who won't benefit. Twenty adults with thyroid cancer that had spread took part. The approach is a way to gather information to improve future treatment planning.
