Drug trial aims to tame tough thyroid tumors before surgeons operate

Summary

This study is testing if taking the drug lenvatinib before surgery can help control advanced thyroid cancer that has grown into nearby structures. The goal is to shrink the tumors, making them easier and safer to remove completely. About 30 adults with this specific type of invasive thyroid cancer will participate to see if this approach improves surgical outcomes.
