New laser combo may ease prostate troubles without major side effects

Summary

This study tests a laser surgery for men with small prostates that still cause bothersome urinary symptoms. 426 men aged 40-80 will be randomly assigned to one of three surgical methods. The main goal is to see which approach best prevents a common complication called bladder neck contracture. The study also tracks symptom relief, urine flow, pain, sexual function, and safety.
