Summary

This study tested adding a drug called thiotepa to the usual chemotherapy given before a donor stem cell transplant for people with leukemia. The goal was to see if this stronger mix could help more patients stay cancer-free one year after the transplant. The study included 40 adults with high-risk or returning leukemia who received the new chemo combo before their transplant.
