Could electromagnetic fields help fight breast cancer?

NCT ID NCT07227831

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a device called TheraBionic P1 that sends low-level electromagnetic fields to the body. It is for people with advanced hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer who have already tried standard treatments. The goal is to see if the device can help control the cancer and improve survival, while also checking its safety and tolerability.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

TheraBionic P1 device (amplitude-modulated electromagnetic fields)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new, non-invasive option to help control advanced breast cancer and extend survival when other treatments have stopped working.

What could go wrong

This is an early phase 2 trial with only 82 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The device is experimental and it is unknown if it will meaningfully improve survival or quality of life.
