First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at whether sending lifestyle tips and reminders via text message could help people who had a heart attack (acute coronary syndrome) better manage their risk factors and avoid future heart problems. 370 patients took part and received text messages for one year. The goal was to see if this simple approach could lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and reduce the chance of another heart attack or stroke.
