Can your phone help control your blood pressure? new study targets forgotten pills

NCT ID NCT04675593

Summary

This study is testing if personalized text message reminders can help people who have both high blood pressure and a mood disorder (like depression or bipolar disorder) remember to take their blood pressure medicine. Researchers are comparing two groups: one gets text reminders plus self-monitoring, and the other just self-monitors. The goal is to see if the reminders lead to better medication habits and lower blood pressure over 11 months.
