Summary

This study tested whether a drug called tesamorelin could help people with obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It involved 51 adults and aimed to see if the treatment could reduce harmful fat and inflammation in the liver. The drug works by boosting a natural hormone that regulates metabolism, which is often low in people with obesity.
