First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether adding TENS (a device that sends mild electrical pulses through the skin) and exercise to usual migraine medication can reduce pain and disability in women with migraine. Thirty-eight women participated, all continuing their prescribed meds. The goal was to see if these add-ons improve pain, muscle strength, sleep, balance, and quality of life.

Active substance

transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) device and exercise training

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a drug-free way to ease migraine pain and improve daily function for women.
